Hey Richard,
Looks great!
I would highly suggest making your name more visible at the top. I know you have an About section which is definitely good, but the name should be prominent and easy to see at first glance. Also for possible future job opportunities, you might want to add a description/title for what you do. One of our teachers ( who is co-founder of Imaginary Forces) talked to us about branding, so employers know what they are hiring for. Often the hiring people get a lot of reels and see a lot of websites, so it is good to get across your name and what you do in a clear and concise way so they will remember, for example, RICHARD ADENOT / ANIMATOR ( or photographer, or 3d artist, or a combination of any of those... it will be harder for you since you are good at many things!) when they are hiring for their next job.
Just don't be shy to make your name more visible. You have a lot of great work to be proud of.

thx karnage for your tips and kind words, same for you diemacht.
i am currently making the index page of the site, where you would either go in one of the 3 sections... the thing at the bottom right means : "Need a magician?" it's for people who would like to hire me for an event...
same again if you have any crits, feel free to do so,
imo, the problem at the moment is that you can't clearly see that the 3 sections are where you should click, and no i don't wanna have a "click bellow" sorta thing...
I tried a few thing but it did not get a satisfactoring result... so if you have any suggestions...

rich an advice since your not using any flashy things on website its basically a lot of images sorted out and text why not try using the photoshop plugin sitegrinder
probably you know about it but here is the link:
very easy to use (they have very simple tuts) but in the hands of pro like you i bet you can do much more and this will save you tons of effort using normal coding and adobe dreamweaver, i usually create basic layout using it then edit using other software, ENJOY TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT.
WHAT IS THAT, it looked to me like a monkey till you mentioned its not bahahahaha.

it's a buffalo! i'd like to see that climb up a tree! lol
sintegrinder looks cool but i can't afford it... i'd rather spend my money to go to the usa this summer, folowed by roumania! i need to take loads of photographs if i want my upcomming exibition to work out well...
as for the site, it's just filling the blocks up but here are the cg and 2d gallery pages...
i now need to make the following pages and the magician's page (the ones you get to once you click on one of them boxes...)

you made some serious progress meanwhile!
it is simple and self explanatory and yet elegant. I like it.
but the animation page needs some styling imo.
But the organisation is good

When you roll over the images/text for the people and animals gallery the pointer does not change to the hand. It just remains as a pointer. I am not sure what is causing this though.
Also I do not think your photogallery should open in a new link. This disorients users. Also some people don't have their web browsers automatically switch to a new window when it is opened, so they may not of realized they opened up the web gallery at all.

i will add a roll over image soon, th for pointing it out
as for the fact that it opens in new windows, i fully understand wat you mean, but i want, and I am going to keep it that way. but thx for the info about that...
could anybody let me know if i should remove some pics that are in the gallery? are there some that are not of good enough quality compared to ther others? (especialy in the animals gallery, i think i have too many...)
thx g3org3 for the feedback.

I was actually referring to the mouse pointer. With everything that you rollover basically the mouse pointer turns to a hand. For some reason the mouse pointer just stays like an arrow.

i am uploading the animtion gallery... i still need to add the arm animation i did a while back...
crits are welcome
could you let me know in case you spot any spelling mistakes?
-
JayG 1,164 posts
Very cool bro, the only possible spelling thing I see is on the Made in India desc. it says "ballons" which I'm guessing is "balloons"?
-
JayG 1,164 posts
Oh and you might consider redoing a lot of your animation and lighting. Perhaps a radiosity pass with some specular compound flux shading calculations. (Industry secret.)
-
Richard 1,943 posts
screw you man! i ment that in the best possible ways... ever!
