Onno_thanx a lot buddy
iest_rob_ hey pal you said it. yes it seems like ice age since l post any thing. well some jobs to be done lets say. thanx a lot.
l realised that animation is not medium that can put into 3d or 2d, but its the understanding the matter and expressing it in any way. so l come over 2d animations and learned a lot, besides all the good animators say they plan the poses in 2d and transfer them in 3d. its more creative and fast... lets hope you do some flash things and share with us....

-
AkinYaman 135 posts
hey thanx, in general 30 sec aproc. they all made in one sprint and the result of a though. l do this works for lay out an idea so they r not in proper order in case of time or drawing, just brain storming...

Very cool indeed Yakin! Good to see 2D anim here, and it certainly looks like you have the right idea as they all have character and appeal.
Particularly like the flour sack. It's one of those common animation tests that sound easy but is not.
Strangly I am unable to see the butterfly animation... For some strange reason the Thai Ministry of Information and Communication thinks it is unsuitable and have blocked it! lol (first time I've ever encountered censorship on the internet... so I guess it must be bad Akin! j/k)

Global_ thanx a lot pal

l realy dont know if l m on the right path for animation but at least try to learn every day something for usefull. l did find 2d animation very generaous for adapting your fresh ideas for expression. its fast and brave. l think 2d animation is the beauty of simplycity of pen and paper ( we use mouse or wacoom though
l realy gone nut laughing here

to read butterfly animation banned by Thai Ministry of Information and Communication. there is no reason for banning for this little animation. but maybe the boy was trying for catching the butterfly and that disturb them but at the end they become a kind of friend!!!
pal l just change the format GIF so yu can see and judge if its bad or what
ridestowe_ ohh come on pal they are not so good

l didn t go to any animation school and made all of this stuff in 30 min aprox with a simple brainstorming, BUT THANX a lot

Dude these are great! It's amazing how such rough, simple animations could still give off such personality and understanding of movement. Your rabbit one is most impressive.

Global 1,589 posts
Yakin, keep this up! your animation is getting better every time. That rabbit is fantastic! (maybe lost a little weight on the last jump... but otherwise it's great!)
How is it, working with flash? Not done it myself... the only 2D stuff was hand drawn in Photoshop and pasted together as a .gif in Image Ready.

ivanisavich_ thanx man , you got the point already
Global_ thanx brother, about working with Flash its so easy and menagable. there is the feature called Onion skin which let you see the previous drawing while making the next one and this is great. the drawings are vector so it doesnt make big size like the drawings made in photoshop which is pixel. l had give my first try with image ready before flash. it has not as powerfull as flash, in flash you can play with timing/spacing easly, grab the frame put here or there and thats the animation itself... its realy fast to put an idea down and see the result so its good also playing with this program before sitting down for 3d animations which take longer time...
kilroy_ cool gay l m so happy that you got the insperation... we are waiting your first try

AkinYaman, you're just amazing... Im glad i joined this forum just for the fact that ive been able to see your work....
You are an absolutely great inspiration....please i beg you to keep up doing these little animations and keep up postin them here.
This might sound stupid since at the end of the day the animation depends on your own skill and hability, but....have you considered making a tutorial explaining how you approach this kind of stuff and show your workflow??. Just curious.
keep it up, keep it up, keep it uuuuuuuuuupppppppp!! lol

Ravi_ heeyyy thanx fella, l glad to hear that honey tasted words from you and happy to hear my works makes a state of inspration too. further l must say that they are just studies to make my animation better.
about the work flow, as you said there is nothing special at all. l do the animations with the very basic approach and its something like that:
1- find a gag
2- find a character with eye cathing style
3-blok the animation and timing
4-if you are happy with the result add the inbetweens
5-tune up the timing
6- work hard and hard
besides about drawing wiht Flash ( so simple and fast ) you can use Onion Skin feature to see under the paper. it make the affect of light bulb in the classic animation boards.
