My First Vray Render

triplej96 181 posts08 Dec 2010I got VrayforC4D yesterday and I created this scene in a attempt to learn Vray. I must say I'm loving it so far! I have a lot to learn with the whole vrayforc4d workflow but I certainly don't regret my purchase!

sanyilajos 58 posts09 Dec 2010Very nice. But I think the bottom of the glass should not shatter.
Vray is a very good rendering engine, though I use it in max I assume it has the same functionality in C4D too. -
triplej96 181 posts10 Dec 2010Thanks man. Here's version 2 a much more realistic sim, I believe. Yeah, Vray has really impressed me so far not to mention all the amazing Vray work I seen from Max users like Alex Roman. It's pretty much the same as MAX but C4D users won't get Vray 2.0 until 2nd quarter of next year.

what i miss are the really really tiny almost dust like chunks that would make it even more realistic.
there are a lot of videos on youtube with slowmo bullets hitting glasses.
vray is really dominating the renderer market i guess.
still kinda in love with final render...
but i experimented with vray on a friends pc and kinda liked it.. maybe just maybee..
i hope fR wont be mad at me.... we didnt even kiss....
i use 3dsmax btw. -

. Thanks for the reply. Yes, you are absolutely right about the tiny almost dust like particles. I might add some particle generators to the mix for smaller debri and maybe even add a fluid sim for the dust like look.
I wish I had MAX as well. The particle possibilities in MAX are mouth watering! Well one day when I'm right, haha.

triplej96 181 posts22 Dec 2010Thank you BColbourn, yes Vray is awesome to work with! I'm just trying to work out using zbrush displacements maps in it now. Preserving all that zbrush detail. Not so easy yet.
