It's been a while, but I wanted to post this project I've been working on. As I blather on about in the Vimeo page, I designed and modeled this robot for an assignment and decided to put it to use in an animation. I still want to add a few things (mainly a plume of smoke to which the robot is flying, that's why the end is so sketchy), but need to focus on other things right now. Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate any crits.

for the 3d model, it looks so nice and smooth, maybe need textures and materials like the one on the concept
also, I was hopping for a larger image, and a wire shot too ... that may make it more clear to judge
I read on vimeo that you didn't finish the compositing of the animation yet, but am a bit curious about the environment on the animation
is it a real video? camera mapping? .... or what ??
anyway keep going, you are doing good ^^ -

I did the concept, though I'm not the best concept artist so the model probably looks closer to what I was originally thinking than the drawing. I'm away from my main computer so I don't have any wires on hand.
My main focus with this was the environment, which is completely 3D. It can look a little static, though I'm hoping the addition of more animated elements (including the volumetric effects and maybe moving traffic on the bridges ) will improve this. If anybody has any suggestions to this end, I'd appreciate them. -
