Thanks Jay for your comment. We are not completely sure if we are going to do facial animation, so I tried keeping the poly count at a minimum, but either way we do this your advice is invaluable considering you have a lot more experience in this than we do. About the triangle at the nose, there's not really a triangle there, it's just the wire overlapping in that angle.

Sadly, I have to show my face around here yet again without an update - since I've been away - but I was able to draw a fairly simple sketch of how the first character will look like. He is supposed to be the Guardian of Lumina, which is a slightly twisted angelic faction in the game. I want say that I tried to keep a clean line art and this is not necessarily how the final model will look.
I know me and perspective (or drawing as a matter of fact) have nothing in common....but I AM trying >__<
I'll get back to 3D as soon as I'm home.
