08 Aug 2006Hey - alright i managed to take a shot of Caernarfon Castle (the town where I work) today.

wow, dude, you are lucky!! that is AMAZING! how incredible to be there!!
i feel like i'm on vacation just looking at it! it reminds me of the amazing towns, the ancient history and buildings, that i got to see when i travelled to germany. i miss that place all the time! -

Yeah this is where i work, you cant see the building i work in, it's right behind the castle. Unfortunatley, the town itself is awful - inside the castle and it's walls is totally spot on, great small cobblestone streets with some nice cafe's etc - BUT, outside the walls is totally horrible, chav fest - a real shame really, soo much potentioal there. And as i work at the the local council at the mo, i know they are investing loads of money into the place to make it better - so when i come back home after a good 10years or so if i go away, i cannot wait to see the place.
I took it with a digital camera - I've added grain and loads of filters to it in Photoshop, i think a clean B&W pic isnt as great or epic as a grained/dirty looking pic.

i've never worked in a digital facility (or make-up/creature shop) that had windows. i mean, there's windows here somewhere, but not in the rooms the artists work. i'd be happy with the slightest bit of sunlight!

I dont work at a digital facility hype - unfortunatley i work for the local Council - but im quitting in December to go to London to do 3d animation, already got my place - woohoo!!
But yeah - the view if friggin' awsome! -

13 Aug 2006Hey - i managed to take a few more pics the other day. This first one is of Caernarfon Castle (again), and for those who talk to me on msn, you know that i regualry go to the pub quiz - well that white building on the left - that's the pub i go to - if you guys are ever in Caernarfon, i highly recommend the place - "Anglesay Arms", good times!
And this is the view i get every single day when i drop my Girlfreind off to work, it's of Llyn Nantlle (Nantlle Lake), i think someone like Turner or someone might have painted this exact view - ill try and go look for it later. But if it wasnt such a cloudy day, right in the middle between the two mountains there would be a slap bang full view of Snowdon (the highest mountain n England and Wales) - ill try and get a nice one without coulds someday.
Nice one - let me know what u guys think, and any tips would be great.

It takes me about an hour to drop her off everyday, but it's pretty sweet, because i get to go through loads of single track mountain roads (thats what takes an hour).
