Photography Challenge - The Area Around You

They thought it couldnt be done, but its here, the one and only photography competition on simplycg!.
The aim of this contest is to collect photos of the area you live in, this could be anything from Inside your house, in your garden, special locations were you live, scenery, plants, animals, people, weather and anything else as long as it relates back to "The Area Around You"
Rules:
5 submissions per person
Photoshopping Allowed (Before and after shots please)
You will be asked to pick ONE!! final piece you want to submit into voting, this HAS to be one of the 5 you submitted originally.
No nudity unless your name is Cameron, then its accepted in everyway or form
The image cant be just a snapshot, it has to have meaning behind it, and has to be artistically creative in one way or form.
Judging
Photographs will be judged on Quality within composition, eposure, meaning, subject, lighting. Also quality in general as we dont want to see any blurry shots or compression pixels all over a wonderfull piece.

02 Aug 2006Oh no I'm in trouble now!!!
I'm forsure innit, and would be cool to see some other people join in too.
Just a couple questions though about the challenge.
1. How many photos do we get to submit each? Just the one we like the most?
2. How long we got? You cheated lol. I said on msn that we should have this challenge when I got my license back so I can drive out and about to find these photos. Twould also have given me time to learn.
But im not backing down. Bring it on!

04 Aug 2006Are we allowed to submit photos we took like a few months back? Or are the photos suppose to be something we take in the next week or so?

does everyone have this where they live? i do. okay soda, nothing special, but the labels ROCK! they change all the time! its like there's never the same label twice. maybe we can get these guy to sponsor future photography contests.

yeah, we call it Pop in pennsylvania where i'm from. but out here in Cali everyone calls it soda, and the Jones Soda people call it that, too.
i've always wanted to send photos in to them, but haven't yet.
i think the winner of this contest - hell, i think all the entries - should send the pics in! -
27 Aug 2006tbh its an awsome idea, some of the shots on that jones soda are pretty boring i bet a kid could make a photo on it lol
