Right now I'm taking a max script intro class, and I thought I would try and make a faceloop script. I don't know enough to do the things you guys did, so I just did it the easy way.
Basically, you need to make sure you have an editable poly object selected, (otherwise you will get a pop up message) and have at least 1 edge selected, horizontal, or vertical, or both. Hit the loopring button and BAM.
I have attached the script.
I kinda cheated, I just used the convert selection #Edge #Face, along with the edge ring and edge loop functions. I'm learning though, my next step is doing the same thing except without using existing functions.
I've been on here a number of times looking at how people did things, it's a ton of help! Whens the next max script workshop?
Hahaha....nice ...definitely a good implementation of the built in edge loop function Probably the cleanest way to get a good face loop, but a bit of a cheat nonetheless
