31 Jan 2007Dude! Those tutorials were friggin awsome! I must have missed them or something, because I dont remembering you posting these!
The first one is super handy! just a simple expression, and the out come is great! I could play around with that for ages!! Thanks man.
The second one is really great as well, I laughed out loud when you made the water sound effects and called yourself an idiot, ha ha classic. It's amazing to see what a few lines can create! How, or what would you use the 3d layers like that in a production though?
The new capture program workes well man, I can see everything super clear! Good job yet again! -
01 Feb 2007hahaha, thanks! yeah, the first one is definitely more applicapable to the stuff we do here. the second, hmmm, i don't know what you'd use it for. motion graphics i guess. i was just really blown away by how easy it was to set up, and thought i'd share a little 3d after effects with you guys.
of course, in AE 3d you could very easily set up a real 3d type shot, by putting things on layers and positioning them the same way you do in a 3d program.
yeah, i make sound effects all the time when i'm working on stuff. god help me if i ever get to do lightsabers for something - that's the ULTIMATE mouth-sound-effects project! I'd be taken away in a straightjacket. -
01 Feb 2007Ha ha ha ha!! Good stuff!! Yeah, it looks super easy to set up, incredible, yeah you could easily create a cool 3d scene with that feature actually, using Alpha channels etc, that would be pretty cool actually. Would there be a way of controlling how far just one of those planes go?

thanks for the tut but I'm more curious about how to make that circle vanishing in fire and smoke.
How can I do that??? I know a lil bit of Maya so I can take Maya tut as well.
I've been guessing for a couple of days now. Please save me! -
