Animation Challenge: SWORDFIGHT!

13 Jan 2008Ok everyone...this time around your challenge is to animate 2 (or more) characters fighting with swords! It's up to you to choreograph the scene (although you can use video references) and make it as action packed as possible. Here are the more specific guidelines:
-Try to keep your animation under 20 seconds....the idea is to have a really tense, action-packed scene (although it can be as simple as 2 characters battling on a flat plane)
-Swords should be the main weapon, but if you want to insert daggers, or nunchucks, or anything else that's cool like flamethrowers and corpses
-You can use whatever characters you like....from complex rigs to stick-figure characters
-The animation can be in any form...stop-motion animation, 2d, 3d, etc.
-Have fun with it! Try to think of inventive camera moves, and creative character movements. Referencing ninja-movie or pirate-movie footage will be a great help

08 Feb 2008T, I think i've found a type-o. on the main page for these challnges it says in the info that the challenge ends on january 15th instead of february 15th. thought ya should know
btw, i might be entering should I find the inspiration/time to do so. -
