Hi all,
After envying Hype's perfect matchmove for the challenge I decided to have another crack at shooting and matchmoving my background plate.
See the results . Not quite production quality, but I'm hoping you'll be distracted into not caring by the awesomeness of my mouse-to-spider transformation! Using the tracking markers helped a lot, as it gave me something nice and clear to check my floor plane against. Matchmoving done in PFHoe version 1 (I got it free on a magazine CD!). The big grey slab will eventually become a mouse mat.

Well, my entry is pretty much ready to upload - maybe a few tweaks but I'm mostly happy with it. Getting nervous now - I've looked through many of the past challenges and I know I'm up against some serious talent in this!
Anyway, here's a taster of my entry - Spider Mouse.

Fair enough, thanks for the heads-up.
Okay, here's my entry for the challenge. I spent a few hours this evening just going over the comp in AE, tweaking things to make the CG elements fit into the filmed background a bit better and improving the light flares a bit.
Well, another project beckons (as well as the day job) so I'm calling this one a day. I'm proud of it - I hope you like it!
Tech stuff: 3D in Maya, 2D in AE, tracking in PFHoe.

P.S. Sorry you've got to download it rather than play it in a browser - I've hit my traffic limit on my site so I had to find a file hosting site. Hopefully I'll get a better solution before Friday.
