http://www.jaygrenier.com/animation/rag ... 01_low.movStarted a new project, it's an animation and effects shot based off of the Akuma character in the Street Fighter series. The poses and timing are loosely based off the move, but I went in and altered a lot to match the character better and just to get some timing that worked better for this type of project.
I'd like to get some feedback on the animation so far, especially on the end part when he gets back into the pose. The idea is that it's a cycle so he needs to go back to the same pose, and relatively quick, but I want a nice balance of good animation with a video game feel.
Motion blur is a large part of it since he is moving rapidly so I did a test render to see what things are looking like. Lighting, materials etc. are all temporary right now.
Once I've got the animation working I'm going to start working on some effects for the attack. Potentially some camera movement, it's so short though I might just leave it stationary.
