I have used painter but I do enjoy using this program more then Painter 9. Its nice how the menu things move out of the way if your painting near them etc. There is a tracing mode which is really nice.
There aren't as quite as many features as Painter 9 but it is a whole lot better considering its price and intuitiveness.
Everyone should dl it.

22 Apr 2006wow, this is a great program! i've used painter before, and don't get me wrong, that is the ULTIMATE in realistic painting, but this program is actually fun! its SUPER easy, exports to photoshop and supports layers, and it's only $20!! it gets pretty close to painter as far as looking like a real painting, but its tons easier. i bought it after just browsing their webpage for a little.
i've started a few little things in it, and will certainly post something the second its done. it you need a way to unwind after work, this is a great one. -

10 May 2006i LOVE this program! its awesome! i've posted a few paintings over at the artrage forums, but they're nothing great (i use the same screen name there, hype).
its just a fun program. there's no thinking involved, you just open it and create.
its worth buying - its only friggin $20!! -

again, i should reiterate that this program is FUN. F. U. N. tons of it. that's why, even though my painting skills suck, i can't stop! -

14 May 2006thanx. i'm really not that good at it, but holy crap is it fun.
i want to do a totally kick butt picture in it, but painting isn't really my forte.
but i keep trying. i won't post one again unless i think it's really cool!
