basically every one of us gets an intro, then after the second tv noise he will talk a bit about himself and his contribution to the company and future of his field.

used equipment:
-my camera gz-hd7 jvc full hd (used a very low res to test full res is 500mb+ so not to worry about resolution).
-blue screen 3.5x7 meters blue screen cotton.
-10$ tripod

ps i bought those they wont even get me the lighting still have to the job though ^_^ actually challenging (a media company running on one designer to do all the work finally something cool). i will probably have to buy the lighting system and other equipment like the exposure meter from my own pocket (duh), not so bad cause i am thinking of opening my own studio back in jordan eventually.
THE VIDEO I AM SENDING IS LOW QUALITY and still more work to be done so expect updates and sound enhancement currently there is a sound bug its very high and suddenly drops.
C&C is very helpful, i am sure you will like this (FINALLY I HAVE DONE SOMETHING COOL)

08 Apr 2008hmmm this is good, but as quality is still an issue. here is some thing about HD video comperession.
MPEG-2 engine in both adobe premiere pro and AE can output DVD compliant MPEG-2 content from HD content. It accomplishes this output by scaling and, in some cases, some frame-rate trickery.
by using the adobe media encoder, you can specify a target frame size for the video. Before the HD video frames are compressed to MPEG-2, the encoder scales them down to the target frame size. Because this scaling occurs at the end of the production process, it can achieve the highest quality compression, in the case of 23.976 fps content, the adobe media encoder can insert data in the MPEG-2 stream so that it plays back interlaced data on a standard Tv and DVD player and progressive data on a progressive scan DVD player and Tv. This is the same technique that is used in most hollywood DVDs, which are produced from a 24-fps film master.

mahmoudnahmad 1,159 posts08 Apr 2008thats really good info but my camera gives tod which i convert in a sec using vlc to ts, now i need a conversion method strait from ts to mov and if i wanna edit it in AE i will need to de interlace it, so is there a software can takes a ts and converts it to quicktime and deinterlaces it at the same time, not really knowledgeable on how dvds from hollywood work or why interlaced needed in the first place, i use mpeg streamclip 1.2b for windows to convert and deinterlace, but the problem is the files are too dam huge (6min = 500mb) that high quality and deinterlacing it and converting it takes almost 1 hour just for 6min, there has to be a better way i am not that advanced yet in video editing i am still in the learning process.

mahmoudnahmad 1,159 posts08 Apr 2008the time needed is not reduced but i was able to maintain 99% of original quality on a 30mb file rather than 500mb
so to work on a 18 second animation it takes 1 hour to get tod to mov (from 6min original file) cut it in AE and again 1 hour to make the file 30mb
no so bad but you get a workable file with high quality i am ok with it -

flicker in light exposure causing key to go off sometimes, i didnt turn of the gain on camera big mistake but cant be avoided since everything will be dark without lighting system, so to remove flicker and grain caused by it, i had to do the imposible i stacked around 6 effects
-t degrain
-t deflicker
-t deinterlace blue
-auto color
-auto contrast
-auto levels
-de flicker
-unsharpen mask
-grain remover
-and to fix the contrast i added curves kinda blows everything light but makes a hell a lot of difference between me and the blue screen -
09 Apr 2008try to key it with keylight its definately the best key plug for afx and there is something about the animation of the texts im not sure i can explain
it should be more crispy try to match it up with the music (its good when you have smt music with rythm you can match to)
use another typeface that matches more the mood of the video and get rid of the green awkward effect behind the type it looks like it happend accidentely..

mahmoudnahmad 1,159 posts09 Apr 2008hehe i hate my office i discovered the blown up neon light that keeps flickering and what made it worse is the Gain on the Camera still working on it i have learned sooooo much from this project pretty happy ^_^

considering even taking the footage again and may buy a simple work light to light up the blue screen, any one know a very good place to sell green screen online cant find it in camera shops here all blue >< ? -
14 Apr 2008no doubt keylights is definately the best key plugin for after effects, but the other side i never got solution to convert interlace footage to deinterlace, i prefer to do same thing in shake that allows me work faster then AE, not comparing them but just telling the way how i work on green or blue footages. try it, you'll get the best n shortest way to edit your interlace footage. any way. all the way u happy:)

mahmoudnahmad 1,159 posts14 Apr 2008yo mark thx for your msg any way, the time consuming part is converting camera format streamclip to workable file that is the most consuming one interlacing i deal with it in different ways and still testing actually, one way is deinterlace it 3rd party software mpegstreamclip, or using ae plugins to do so i am testing this one actually BUT ANYWAY for this i am using now Rotoscoping
