After Effects makes my files look worse

Below are two copies of the same frame. The first picture is how Maya rendered the frame, the second picture is how the frame looks after I import it into After Effects. Anybody know why it looks so much crappier after importing it into After Effects?

here is the same image in my after effects looks the same only thing i can think off is revert everything in AE to defult.
to default workspace Shift+10 and make sure when you import it to check the options that are enabled
keep me updated what happens with u -
