Hi, Could you post an example screengrab of the effect you're describing, as I'm not quite sure what you're trying to achieve.

I think the effect you are looking for acn be cahieved by duplicationg the layer, then turning up the threshold, putting a glow effect on it, and then setting the transfer mode to screen. Tweak as appropriate.
