Does anyone know of any well-known problems with rendering/compressing/exporting into h.264 that would cause a drastic reduction in quality? I've done about a dozen shots using this same technique and have never had trouble, but for some reason it's ruining the quality of this one particular movie.
It's always worked fine in the past, but it's turning a sweet render into garbage this time even on maximum settings. ><
weird. The only persistent problem I've heard about is how it raises the gamma, making your blacks not black, and lightening the whole shot in general. But that doesn't sound like the problem here.
I have a feeling it's just this particular mixture of colors because it's happening the most in one single area. Annoying it is. The gamma change is kind of a pain too, but not a terribly big deal.
