Every other compositing program has color curves built into the histogram for adjusting HSV/YUV/LUV, ect. Now these guys are simply adding that feature to AE, its good for a ton of things, mainly color grading and matching up one shot to another. Seems you were just talking about that werent you T? Anyways, here's a screencap, the side not using the effect is on the right. You just use curves to set your values. Pretty simple, way easier than the current options.

so its working pretty good for you, zach? no bugs or weird behaviour?
i rarely use curves in AE for the simple fact that the window sucked.

yeah, I haven't had much trouble with it yet.... Havent used it extensively either, we still haven't moved to 7 yet at work, waiting for the 64 bit edition, and I don't play with it too much at home. But it seems pretty straight forward, I still havent figured out if you can load a lookup table into it, I thought I read somewhere that 7 has that ability, but don't quote me.

so my beta on this plugin expired a while back, and started putting a watermark on everything. I emailed the guy and asked when it was going to be released, cuz I really like it. After a LONG wait, he finally emailed me back and gave me the new version, and an unlock code. I just wanted to post a screenshot of how sweet the new interface is!! It's awesome! DO NOT use curves without this plugin! (even though it's not really available yet)

Nice! Hey guys, how do you get that 50/50 split in AE? Am I being a total numpty and missing something obvious, or is this something you've got to set up yourself with a duplicated source layer and a mask?
Cheers!
