is there a way to "bake" animation curves in maya and then to transport them over to 3ds max for rendering? or am i stuck in maya?

At work here we rig and animate in maya, and model, texture, light and render and everything else in lightwave. So after the animation is done in maya, we use a plugin called Point Oven to bake out the geometry information into MDD files. Then we load up the object in lightwave, load the mdd, and voila!
I'm sure you could do the same thing with 3ds Max. It's not baking curves or anything though, it's the actual geometry.
