hey there all...
i have a wee question for you...
i have a scene with loads of identical objects, and i would like to randomise the y postition to get variation in their position instead of doing it by hand...
I supose, mel would be my best friend for that, but i have no idea of how to do it...
if it helps, all the objects have similar names (objects1, object2, etc...)
i just have no idea of how to go on with all this, so if anybody feels like helping...
thx

Ooh, nice Rich - I look forward to seeing the short
btw... just a thought. In the code I wrote you could just get rid of the 'select $obj' part... looking at it, it's unecessary - and it means that you will maintain your selection (so you won't need to re-select your objects if you want to run the script again on the same selection)
