08 Oct 2005I think there should be a photography section, as not only i post photos, others do such as Terry for one.
I feel photography doesnt fit under 2d art, because it isnt 2d art, your not working onto a 2d canvas your working on a Envinronmental Canvas (whateva you want to call it ) i just done feel it fits under 2d

09 Oct 2005Well yes, it can give you a better understanding of how things look for modeling purposes, and also can help in composition for render purposes.
Alot of photos may be used for references, no matter what the image. -

14 Nov 2005Despite the name, I don't want this forum to be solely and explicitly CG.
I am a lover of photography as an art form myself and want it to be a bit part of this forum. I was just waiting for there to be enough posts in both 2d and photography subjects to split the category. BIG thanks to you for that Aden! -

Also good to hear that it's not explicitly CG - I thought, about a week after posting it, that my Kurt Cobain thread probably wasn't related - but now I know it was ok
