22 Nov 2006hey guys was just over at conceptart.org and though hey we should have something like this at simplyCG. i love to draw and do other media of concept art.
the sketchbook setup they have is realy cool and i think that would be a realy cool thing to see come here so we can share some more of our fine art skills
what do you guys think? -

i'm also actually finishing up a 2D challenge for a dungeons & dragons fan site i'm part of, too. 2D is really fun, and I certainly think everyone should be doing it and posting their results, but i kinda agree with T, it doesn't seem to be the most popular area of work around here.
but i'd love to see that change! i think zacj might even be instigating some 2d/compositing action as well, with his great post in the post production thread! i'd love to see everyone getting on that stuff enough to get a real section going too! -

19 Dec 2006I know there isnt much activity in the 2d animation but i think this might get some more attention cause a sketch takes so much less time than and animation and everyone sketches its a base skill that is needed to do well anywhere else.
I know im always drawing and concepting befor a project or just for fun and i would have tons to post here. I still think this would be a fun addition to the forum.
