I decided to learn some car modeling as ive never done any before, so i thought i'd go further and test some anim too. Just needed some good advice on how to go about rigging a car. Should i use reactor, the toy car thing or wheel contraints and is there anywhere i could find a good tutorial ?

It's an incredible (and free!) plugin that assists in rigging cars. Also, it has the ability to let you drive the car, in the viewport, in real-time (with physics and collisions and terrain-following and everything)...and then bake the animation to keyframes.
I've used it extensively and I think it's terrific. -

Oh, since you replied, i wanted to ask, in your basic car hitting an object you say its with rigid body deformations. What are these ? I just assumed the smash was a particles sys -
25 Jun 2009I just did Tyson's tutorial for this. It's listed first in his html tuts on his site. Though it's not a car crash, it's just a teapot crashing into the ground.
It's still very cool and would be very easy to apply to a car hitting something.
