Particle Question

16 Oct 2009So i want to make this "flying lines" normaly i would do it with splines but i need too much of them. So i made a particle system that works just as i want but the problem is i cant emit enough particles to make them look like a line.
its ok if they are far away but if they come closer you can acutally see the dots. and when i crank the particle emiting up it just starts glitching . (weird random particles in the room and the lines are cut off)
so i thought maybe instead of a dot i could use a oval one that rotates to the direction of the flight but i only on the y axis but i cant get it to work properly. any ideas maybe other solutions for this? -
17 Oct 2009Set your particle shape to sphere
Add a scale operator and set the x scale to something large (300,400, etc)
Add a rotation operator and set the rotation operator to "speed space follow" -

20 Oct 2009it starts to crumble when the particles get to the next event
and when i put a rotate operator in to the next event nothing changes
it will not rotate or will behave strangely.....
and speed space follow doesnt work properly when i use it the particles turn in every direction all over the place.
speed space does work but only for the first event.... me is going
