Hey guys,
I know this has little to do with CG, but I think you may have some useful advice. I'm looking to buy a new inkjet color printer, and I'm looking for reccomendations. Basically, I need an A4 printer that can print to very high resolution, and prints colors acurately. I.e. when I say Green ###, it prints exactly Green ###. I will mainly use it to print custom decals for my models, which I why I need the accurate colors for printing white decals onto white decal paper with a surrounding fill color that matches my paint exactly (because you can't print white.) It would be nice if it was a combi scanner and all that, but it's not essential, I have my old epson for that. I'm looking for something under £350. Can anyone reccomend one that will meet my requirements? Thanks,
Will.

Hmm have you thought about laser printer? They use less ink ( i think) and they print quite good

yeah i would suggest a laser printer too they are much more accurate and its cheaper if you going to use it a lot because the toner is much cheaper and much more efficient.
and inkjets are barely printing what you want.
and the good ones are very expensive (for professional use)
i have used about 10 different inkjets in the past few years and they all suck unfortunately
the next one i buy is going to be a laser printer.

I would use a laser but my decal paper can only be used on an inkjet

. Otherwise yeh I would go for a laser. I print alot of these suckers, and its quite a big part of the finishing process.

So I have discovered! Oh well, I bought myself an Alps printer now. It can print white, awesome! Wasn't cheap, but well worth it.
