nice work ..the hues give the character a bit of life i think that giving him a few freckles or even a zit would further that.

By the way.....if anyone has any recommendations for stuff like that (ie....mentioning things you'd like to see done to this guy when it comes to textures)....speak now or forever hold your peace! I'm definitely open to suggestions

oh yeah ? ok then
urine stains on the overalls ....maybe some oil and grease if u want to dirty him up a wee bit maybe even add some food stains he looks like the messy goofy type.definitely have a bit of color variation from darker tones near joints to lights spots with white discoloration for faded colors.
oh and i meant hues not ues
im sure its not all going to apply to the direction u wanted to take him in but thats my 2 cents.

I've decided that he's an orphan...hence the dirty clothes

Still have to add hair and a couple of other things....other than that though, he's done.

tahts aexactly tyhe kind of thing i was envisioning except for it was blue nstead of the redish thing. nice work ...just one thing ...theres an extremely dramatic contrast between the clothes and the skin a person with clothes that dirty should have dirty skin aswell. i know ur trying to maintain that cartoony look but dont hesitate with adding some details to the skin to bring it out more.

<3 T he doesnt look enough like an orphan though, i was especting dirty pajamas from the butt-flap, but now it just looks like some kind of weird dirty cloth.

It looks awesome! One thing I would think of changing, is the dark patches on his ...patch (I don;t know what I have with bottoms!) I would suggest bringing the dark spots down more underneath his ass... that would visually "lift" him with the colors... if that makes sense
