Hi! As some of you may seen here
, me and bro said we're going to start working on a game we designed ourselves. Now, I know what you are thinking, you can't really do a commercial quality game as a two man team; yeah, well we are here to show you can. We don't have a game design document, no planning, no funds and almost no good idea what we are doing, but we have passion dedication and belief in ourselves and our work.
Still, that does not mean we are not being realistic. The easiest way to spot a beginner in the game industry is that his game design document is big and fat, he wants spaceships and dinosaurs in the game, and for it to be RPG and FPS and RTS at the same time, and zillion of other stuff, but he has absolutely no experience and no mean in the team and WILL (most likely) quit after trying a few times and failing.
Then? How do we go about this? Well, here is the plan: we are going to do a duel-type game. One arena. Two factions. Limited range of characters. The rest is gameplay, scripting and balancing. If we do this right, we might actually reach to something that deserves being called a game, but in the end you guys will be the judge of that.
We don't plan on selling this anywhere, we're doing it for practice and fun.
With all that being said, welcome to the project!
