Your robot's going to look ace comped into the live-action background.
i finish it and don't lose motivation, which i often do.
it's hard to sit at a computer all day long looking at CG things, then go home and do it more. as soon as something gets too complex for me at home, i'm like, "man, i should just watch a movie...".
I'm jealous of your matchmoving skills!
thanks, but no need to be, since i have almost none! Syntheyes did the work. The auto track didn't nail it, though, so I did have to do a bunch of manual tracks and then solve from those, but it still wasn't hard at all.
I tried using PFHoe for matchmoving a little piece I'd shot for my entry, but I couldn't get it to work properly
Man, you should post it and ask some questions!
we're all here to help! Myself, I haven't had any experience with PFHoe, but all the tracking programs are pretty dang close in features, so I'm sure we could help out. And I'll eat my keyboard if Zach hasn't ever used PFHoe! Post up your tracking progress, maybe just seeing the footage we could identify a bunch of problem areas.
