It's defenitly much better in my opiniion.
But, why don't you render it? I know it's the animation chalenge, but anyway, it's even better to render with default lights then looking at the camera target all the time in the preview.
You can always put couple omnis with very soft shadow map (bias 0, with 256 size, spread 8 or 12), give them a variation of colours, and get interesting results.
Also a sound would be great, espetialy sound of a screeming low max.
