I did a walk cycle for my elf character but when I have him walk forward I can see his feet sort of slipping. Does anyone have any advice for correcting this? Here's a vid test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0tazhANUsY
When that happens it means the rate your character is moving forward doesn't match up with how fast his legs are moving. It's one of the tricks to a walk cycle, getting this movement-to-step ratio correct. Play around with the translation of the hips and feet to get it working without slip.
OK New question. I want the elf to carry these christmas lights AND have them drag on the ground. ATM he's carrying but the lights aren't dragging. How do I link this to do both? Here's a vid of where I'm at so far.

hm i take it the rope is soild geometry? I would have used a reactor rope and attached the lights are rigid body objects.
